Social constructs do not dictate our behavior, nor do they align with what most people experience. I make art from my and others’ mental and emotional states that are uncomfortable and difficult to describe in words. My body of work reveals the underlying cognitive and emotional states of the human experience, stripped of the societal mask of collective agreement. Art is where I find my center and has only benefited me through its endless mediums for self-expression.  It provides me with a pathway to come to terms with my feelings and regulate my emotions.
